If you don't charge sellers a fee to advertise businesses for sale on your site, how do you make money?
We have a different revenue model than other web sites. We charge buyers to view listings instead of charging sellers to advertise. We have tried various revenue models and this one works the best for us.
If I sell a business through you, do I have to pay you a commission?
No. You don't have to pay us anything if you sell a business through us. There are no hidden fees or commissions.
Does charging buyers a membership fee reduce the number of responses from buyers?
Yes, it does, but it doesn't reduce the number of responses from serious buyers. Members tell us they get up to ten times more responses to their ads on other web sites, but less than 10% of those responses come from serious buyers. In contrast, 90% of the responses on MergerNetwork are from serious buyers. This means they waste a lot less of their time dealing with "tire-kickers."
