They specialize in underground wet and dry utilities installation with services that include horizontal boring, turnkey telecommunications contracting, urban utility contracting and emergency restoration. The company has developed a solid base of approximately 50 active customers, including developers/municipalities/general contractors (64% of 2008 revenue), telecommunications (31%), and general construction (5%).The company has been operating for over 26 years and has built a reputation for high quality work and proven ability to complete its projects in a timely fashion. Customers are long term, many having been with the company since its inception. The company currently markets itself predominantly via continuous personal networking and relationship-based marketing activities. This marketing approach, coupled with the company’s excellent reputation, accounts for the fact that a material portion of revenue is derived from repeat business and word-of-mouth referrals. Management concentrates on developing and maintaining relationships with customers.

In addition to the owners, the company has 73 employees, 60 of whom are in service/installation with the remaining 14 handling admin/management needs. All key employees will be available to remain with new ownership beyond the sale of the company.
