Just wanted to announce my intention on selling my immediate denture practice in Indianapolis, IN. I have done thousands of immediate dentures and believe I have done more immediate dentures than anyone in the country. I use oral sedation on 98% of all my patients and a routine day is a consultation in the morning adjacent to an immediate denture extraction and the same in the afternoon. Literally I start one and finish one twice a day, 2 days a week. Tues and Thurs. Why do I only work 2 days a week? Because I can. Been doing this for many years. I use halcion and versed literally on everyone and never had an emergency. I have gotten this down to a science and I see about 2/3 of my patients from Indiana and the other 1/3 from out of state. I have not met another dentist that has restricted his practice solely to immediate dentures using oral sedation. My average patient travels a couple hours to see me and I've seen patients from TX, CT, FL and have one in a few weeks flying in from AK (Alaska).Patients sense my confidence and I literally close the deal on every patient I see as long as they have the funds. We do provide access to CareCredit if they want financing. Yesterday I had 6 one hour free consultations (no surgeries-unusual day) and received deposits/full payment on 5 of these. The 6th had no money, no credit and was referred to the dental school. Tomorrow I have another 4 consultations along with a 20 teeth extraction case. Where all these new patients are coming from is beyond me. I am booked up for the next 5-6 weeks.
