Ace Hardware Corporation’s origins date to 1928. AHC became a retailer-owned cooperative in 1976. As of year-end 2005, Ace encompassed a nationwide network of over 5,000 Ace-affiliated stores that generate over $13 billion dollars in retail sales. Each store is independently owned and operated and a member of Ace’s retailer owned cooperative.
